Situated just off the M1 motorway, adjacent to the bus station & a short walk to the train station, Haslem is easily accessible. Approx 25 minutes drive to Belfast City or Belfast International Airport.
Area Description
Haslem Hotel is a great base for exploring the area by car. Local attractions include Hillsborough Castle, Hinch Distillery, Down Royal Racecourse, Titanic Belfast & Game of Thrones studios as well as many popular golf courses. Ample car parking available nearby (local charges may apply.)
Upon arrival greeted by an absolutely lovely receptionist.... I had mailed the hotel ahead to ask If possible to get early check in as my sister was just out of hospital and they had room ready for us which was an absolute god send. Hotel location is brilliant, hotel itself is clean and modern we had a lively big room, would have loved if window could open for some fresh air rather than aircon on constantly but wasn't the end of he world. Only downfall for the hotel was the breakfast. In comparison to the rest if the hotel this let it down. Food was only warm, wasn't a huge selection. One 4 slice toaster like at home and tea and coffee was in a canister where you served yourself which is first time I've ever seen this in hotel for breakfast. There was a sign for pastries with the hot food but there was none put out. Meat and cheese on a covered cake plate but not refrigeratorated and no bread to accompany it. The breakfast is litteraly the only thing that let the stay down because the hotel itself was fab and very well looked after and staff were lovely. Will definitely return but will maybe go elsewhere for breakfast.
